From the east coast of Peloponnisos to the wild beauty of the Deep Mani between the Laconian and Messenian gulfs, amazing coastal roads drive you through continuous breathtaking sceneries. A tour custom made for motorcyclists who appreciate engaging all 5 of their senses!

 

WHAT IS INCLUDED

The prices include the Indian Chieftain motorcycle rental for 5 days, accommodation in 4 star hotels (where available) with breakfast, your tour leader and guide, our escort van for baggage, dinners and lunches(alcoholic beverages are not included), gas and tolls, all entry fees for sites, road-book, map and more. WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED: Everything not mentioned above. Transport from and to the airport is not included but can be arranged upon request.

– You must feel comfortable handling a large Touring motorcycle

Some of our participants enjoy riding as many kilometers as possible in a day, whereas others prefer to arrive early at the hotel to relax and enjoy the amenities before dinner. We choose to organize our daily rides at a pleasant pace. The stated riding times do not include breaks, photo stops, site visits and time spent for lunch. A riding day usually starts around 9 am, if necessary a little earlier or sometimes even later.

TOUR SCHEDULE

We have planned our schedule to get the most out of the five days tour in Peloponnisos. Most, of course, does not refer to the amount of riding kilometers or miles per day but to experiencing the most in a day and always at a relaxed and pleasant pace.

ATHENS (Arrival day and Welcome dinner)

Nafplio

1st Day Ride

Athens to Nafplio
Distance 171 km / 106 miles
Riding time 2:30 Hours
We Pick up our Chieftains from Legendary Rides offices and we ride to Nafplion, the first capital of modern Greece. We will cross the famous Corinth canal Isthmus, separating Peloponnisos from mainland Greece to continue on scenic coastal roads to the unique Ancient Theater of Epidavros. We will lunch in the picturesque seaport village of Palea Eidavros and in the evening we will visit and dine in the lovely Old town of Nafplio.

Monemvasia

2nd Day Ride

Nafplio to Monemvasia
Distance 195 km / 121 miles
Riding time 4:30 Hours
 
Starting from Nafplion will take the beautiful scenic eastern coastal road to Leonidio where we will lunch and have a swim at Plaka’s little fishing port. From there we will choose between riding through the new coastal road up to inland hills to reach Monenvasia or we ride through a scenic narrow gorge to the cliff hanging Monastery of Saint Eloni. If so, We will then continue our assent to the village of Kosmas at 1150 meters altitude and enjoy a coffee break under the huge old plane trees of the village square. After its old downhill to Monemvasia where we will dine in the amazing historical hidden castle city of the “Rock.”

Marmari

3rd Day Ride

Monemvasia to Marmari

Fresh morning start and off we ride through a lovely brand new scenic road for lunch in the old port of Gytheio. From there we will start our descent to Mani, the middle peninsula of the Isle of Morea. We will first ride from the sun rising side (east coast) to Cape Teneron the tip of Mani and of South Eastern mainland Europe. Marmari will be our destination for the evening, right on the beach… a swim not to be missed!

Kalamata

4th Day Ride

Marmari to Kalamata
Distance 137 km / 85 miles

An early morning swim would be inviting, before starting our ascent from the sun setting side of Mani (west coast). A stop for coffee and cake in Gerolimenas bay will give us time to absorb all the wild nature of Mani, before we continue our ride and visit to the amazing water Caves of Dyros (weather permitting). Our ascent on beautiful coastal Mani goes on to reach the seaside village of Kardamyli for a late lunch. Our final destination will be the beachfront of Kalamata the old major port city and capital of the world-renowned finest olive oil of Peloponissos.

Athens

5th Day Ride

Kalamata to Athens

Brace yourself for our last day of riding through mount Taygetos overshadowing Sparta and our visit to the stunning Byzintine kingdom of Ancient Mystras. We will continue with a relaxed and easy riding return through the prettiest highway of Peloponnisos to our last stop in mythical Ancient Mykines, the birthplace of the beautiful Helen of Troy. The kingdom of Agamemnon, from the Greek Mythology, dates from the Bronze Age. It is the oldest on the Isle of Morea, being over 3000 years old. A nice light lunch awaits us on the outskirts and back we ride to your hotel in Glyfada to get ready for our Farewell dinner.
